The Zeiss 510 Meta multiphoton cofocal microscope is currently capable of imaging both fixed and live cells on slides or glass-bottom petri dishes. The instrument is equipped with the following:
- Zeiss Axiovert 200M
- Laser lines at 458, 477, 488, 514, 543 and 633 nm
- Coherent Chameleon pulsed infrared multiphoton tunable from 720-950 nm allows excitation of UV-excitable dyes as well as GFP and YFP
- Two PMTs, META detector and transmitted light detector for DIC imaging with fluorescent overlays
- Capable of time course experiments, Z-stack collection for 3D work, lambda stacks for spectral unmixing or emission spectral analysis (using META)
- FRET, FRAP, and FLIP as well as ratio imaging can be done
- Zeiss Incubator S system available for live cell experiments allowing humidity, CO2, and temperature control
