The Leica SP5 resonant scanning multiphoton cofocal microscope is currently capable of imaging both fixed and live cells on slides or glass-bottom petri dishes. Instrument specifications:
- Leica DMI6000CS (inverted)
- 'the box' enclosure for temperature regulation as well as CO2 and humidity control
- Motorized scanning stage for multi-point imaging and tiling
- Resonant scanning capabilities (up to 8000 Hz)
- 2 PMT and 3 HyD detectors
- Spectra Physics Mai-Tai tunable pulsed near-IR laser (690 - 1040 nm) for multi-photon applications
- FRET, FRAP, and FLIP as well as ratio imaging can be done
- Filter sets for DAPI, FITC, and TRITC
