Motor Function

The AMBC can carry out or assit the lab personnel using a varitey of assys to test motor function in both mice and rats. These asseys are listed below.

 

RotaRod

  • Measures 5 mice or 4 rats simultaneously

  • Accelerating or steady speed options available

  • Time spent on rod for each animal is displayed

  • Minimal training needed for animals

Treadmill

  • Measures up to 6 mice or 3 rats simultaneously

  • Individual electrical stimulus option

  • Requires training of animals prior to test
